Automotive Safety Integrity Level according to ISO 26262-3
In the hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA) each hazardous event is rated for severity (S), probability of exposure (E) and controllability (C). The ASIL follows from the S/E/C combination in the ISO 26262-3 classification table.
