CRC Calculator
Compute CRC-8, CRC-16 and CRC-32 checksums of text or hex bytes, with standard or custom parameters
Text is encoded as UTF-8 before the CRC is computed.
Hex bytes, e.g. 31 32 33 or 0x31,0x32,0x33 (spaces, commas and 0x prefixes are ignored).

About the parameters
A CRC variant is fully defined by its width, polynomial, initial value, input/output reflection and final XOR. Names and parameters follow the CRC RevEng “Catalogue of parametrised CRC algorithms”. The polynomial is given in normal (MSB-first) notation without the leading xⁿ term, e.g. 0x1021 for x¹⁶ + x¹² + x⁵ + 1.
The check value is the CRC of the ASCII string “123456789” and is a quick way to verify an implementation. Two tools using the same polynomial can still give different results if the initial value, reflection or final XOR differ.
A CRC detects accidental transmission and storage errors. It is not a cryptographic hash and on its own does not protect against deliberate manipulation.
